This piece was the first piece of artwork when i startd in collage. It gives me all the memories of my fisrst day to enter the art room and meet all the friends in the artroom... Well this peice of art work was based on my cultureal piece... i was always wandering what can be used to reperesent "chinese" other than "dragon" a more famous one... when people think of dragon hmm the majority of people would think of the chinese people ..."I mean majority" well what i want in this art work was to show my "cultureal" but with other ways... so i decide to used "peach " to represent the chinese cultural ..Well peach is a fruit that can be found in china .. and it grows every year... In that picture i added some ideas of Henri Russeau which always add animals in the background.. therefore i add bats ... onto the peach painting... I think it work out just fine .. because as we know peach is a sweet fruit.. it attract the bats ...
Alrites these artwork was done with watercolours and pen.. it dosent took me to finish it ..but i have tried...
It has very vibrant colors and becomes very attractive as a piece. I also admire the way that you conected bats and fruit but I think the reason you have trouble finishing it is because trying to inforce a chinese type of style arises the problem. The chinese tend to work with more of flat images while you are adding depth and perception by using the 1 through 10 intensity of color laws. That is shading the images to feel the roundness or top and side of an image. so by crossing two schools of thought you have made it a problem very difficult to finish. I love the colors and the idea but think about what I said and you may find the ultimate solution.
This is a beautiful piece! and a firt artwork too(when you started college)! You have improved, and your use of colours is beautiful. Good idea to use the peach, it has really made the focal point of this artwork~
This is a nice piece. I like the colors and I think you did well to capture the new Chinese as I assume you were trying to do. Old Chinese is beautiful too, don't get me wrong. I love the stylized poses of both Chinese and Japanese art. This piece is vibrant, nothing calm about it. It shows me energy that you are portraying. I like your planet piece as well.
